Molded Seamless Tank
Megatherm™ systems are designed with a seamless, molded quartz inner tank, delivering a low contamination and particle-free environment.
Secondary Containment Tank
The inner quartz tank is protected by a flame retardant polypropylene containment tank with an exclusive flange design that offers a labyrinth style seal protecting the heater pads from acid fumes and fluid overflow.
Redundant Over Temperature Safety
Each Megatherm™ has indirect heating elements for fast and reliable heating. This is accomplished by using external panel heaters mounted to the outside of the quartz tank. The quartz tanks have two redundant safety circuits that are placed directly on the heater pads. The first one is a bi-metallic snap switch and the second is a J type thermocouple. The bimetallic switch is an auto-resetting circuit, and the J type thermocouple is a manual reset circuit.

Product Highlights
The MPC-102 is a self contained, fully programmable, microprocessor-based temperature controller that has been configured exclusively for WAFAB. This controller is designed to operate the Megatherm™ line of quartz baths. The MPC-102 has a full PID control scheme, digital display and timer. A 10 key membrane face panel allows the operator to easily set up the controller and adjust the system to meet changing process requirements. The built in timer is capable of implementing a count-up, count-down, and count-thru or freeze display at completion of timing sequences. A J type thermocouple is used to sense bath temperature and a solid state relay enables the controller to 
carry the heater load without the need for any external components. The controller has a chemical resistant Kydex enclosure to protect the electrical components from acid fumes and splashes (picture below). |
